He shouldn't have been arrested. The person that arrested him I'm sure has been silently reprimanded, or put on desk duty, or they have said nothing to them and they will slowly be phased out of the department.

So the media could grab headlines saying he was arrested, only for the charges to be dropped later. Then the media ignores the story about the charges being dropped, and the sheeple are none the wiser.
