Kaptain Krunch's post is not very helpful or well written. Did Greg really retruth it?

• Starlink can track you the same as telcos, that's how they make the connection.
• The licensing and method of distributing of frequencies to operators is irrelevant to the topic of tracking.
• End to end encryption is necessary but not sufficient for anonymity. Tracking relies more on metadata than data. For example WhatsApp encrypts your data e2e, but they give your metadata (who did you message when) to facebook, who in turn makes a social graph with all your most common contacts and everything they like and where they hang out and which websites they visit...)
• Having continuously randomized device IDs, a VPN you pay for with crypto, and no personal information connected with your device (buy used, pay with cash, don't put sim cards in it) will help, but is still not sufficient against advanced persistent threats, like intelligence agencies. This is because everything you do (including typing, breathing, walking, using language, emitting frequencies from your devices) all is essentially unique and detectable remotely, so if you have enough intelligent attention directed at you, there's not much you can do. It's best to think in terms of how-much-attention-is-required-to-track-me, not can-someone-track-me.

Anonymity relies on having many different data points all labeled identically. So for example, if your browser fingerprint is unique (it probably is unless you're using tor) then you can be tracked across sites by anyone who can grab your fingerprint on those sites (site operator, ad networks)
