To keep it short and to the point, I normally drink between 1-2 gallons of filtered water every single day. It's either sourced from my fridge with a good water filter, or in the 5 gallon jugs you pickup.
I've noticed for the last few days, maybe 3-4, that the water "feels" different. It's hard to explain, but to try and get my point across the best I can, it feels "sharper" and has a very slight tingle on the sides of my tongue. It almost feels electrified in a way, if that makes sense.
Am I the only one?
It's very odd to me, and it's not something that I "just picked up on" as i've always been a very heavy water drinker, and nothing else has changed in how i'm getting it/using it. I would have noticed this a long time ago.
This is your problem, you think you’re protected but you are not. Get a berkey or some high end reverse osmosis
Bought a Berkey. Dunno if it’s worth the money but their filters are definitely legit. I sprang for the extra arsenic/fluoride filter add ons too. Definitely a different taste from bottles or filtered water.
Alexapure is better IMO. Becket gives it a makes it feel soft like well water
Have been using Alexapure for many years and it works well.
Also treating water with CDS.
Can’t drink tap… noticeable difference depending upon how far you are from the source.
Hmm. I’ll have to check it out in case the Berkey one goes bad.
We would love to, but we don't have the money to install such a system. I know this post comes off as crazy, I felt crazy even posting it, but it's very strange. I'm going to get a water tester and see if I find anything unusual outside of the normal additives.
Most likely they hardened your water supply, which would change the taste and is still not great for you. Let me help you on your goal; figure out how, in the cheapest/affordable way possible to create clean alkaline drinking water. Imho, the berkey system is the budget choice even for how expensive that is. Plus, some people here are offering DIY solutions, your post isnt crazy, its just sad that in a western nation, healthy drinking water is becoming a privileged thing
There's a yt video someone on a guy who make a homegrown Berkeley type filter.
He used ceramic flower pots, I think.
Cheap and effective, if you're handy.
I'll have to look that up, thank you.
Here is a little DIY one I was able to find - using gravel, sand and activated charcoal. Hopefully it helps or can give you ideas. https://www.offthegridnews.com/how-to-2/how-to-build-a-bio-water-filter/
I 100% feel you, I've been much the same lately and have been changing numerous things including the water!
