Thank you. I need to see that stuff on the harder days. Sometimes its not even about the mess the world has became - i just become overwhelmed with whats going on in my own personal/family life. I take care of my disabled grandpa and ill be here until his last breath...it can be heartbreaking and stressful some days. Turn on the news, read comment sections on fb/reddit etc and its like they take those feelings and magnify them.
I come here and i see people being uplifting, sharing God's love,etc...and it can actually help me end a very negative day with positive energy. You know that term Digital Solider? Well Soliders arent ONLY in firefights, sometimes theyre on a rescue mission.
My hat comes off to you in admiration, but it also comes off in condolences of everyone who has broken under the weight of our recent past.
We're social creatures, support SHOULD just be a common nature part of humanity but we've been so corrupted that it feels hard to find some times
Thanks for the link, it's past midnight here so I'll check the song out when I can actually jam and listen.
Support starts with one person, then two, then three, etc. The first person to receive support from is yourself. What I mean by that is we need to take care of ourselves first.
We need to take care of our physical health by eating right and working out.
We need to take care of our mental health by focusing on things that restore our mental strength. Books, music, affirmations, hobbies, etc.
We need to take care of our spiritual health. Church, Bible studies, living clean lives, etc.
Once we take care of ourselves we are prepared to be better family members, friends, coworkers, community leaders.
From there we can grow and spread out with our relationships knowing they are rooted in a rock solid foundation.
We get what we give to the world. Giving our time, support, and talents to the world around us makes us even stronger. It's like the concentric circles that evolve from the stone thrown in the pond. The center of the splash is ourselves. We start this process on our own (with God) and we grow out from there.
A great way to start the process of restoring one's internal foundation and preparing for personal growth is to write down everything we are grateful for. Every little thing. Review it at the start and end of the day and we can feel our souls restored. It also provides the best perspective in life as it allows us to focus on what matters most and it reminds us how lucky we all are.
We all have something to be grateful for. Many things when we start thinking about it.
We are all in this together and I am extremely grateful for that.
Definitely but I think people are more prone to care about self-care when they are surrounded by love and support. Hell I think that's part of the reason they're so adamant about trying to destroy/pervert everything that is GOOD. Positive energy or Negative energy being absorbed can have a huge impact on what's released.
