Friday Night Lights series, I don’t believe this would be the same if filmed today. (close knit family, town & school sports atmosphere) Rewatching, up to episode 2, several times during episode Christian prayer & church are part of the story. I don’t like 🏈 reminds me of HS sports & school. (m.imdb.com)

For what it's worth, this is still a pretty good representation of some towns in Texas, High school football is still the king where I live. We don't follow the woke pro's anymore, but we follow our high school teams religiously.

I’ve always heard about the Texas football following and think it’s great. I’m in Eastern NC & the high school football is still popular among the town’s people. Nothing compared to Texas! The local News sports caster had a long running Football Friday episode. This guy was fun to watch even if you didn’t follow sports. Tom Suiter of WRAL news really supported the local kids.
