I love our flag. But I’m torn on the pledge of allegiance. It was written by a socialist and pushed through the public school system. It’s became an indoctrination tool so that children were saying the pledge in place of starting with a school prayer, to god.

I hate the pledge. Like when you're in Mission BBQ at noon and they all stand up to say it. Like, do you understand what you are doing? It's literally spellcraft done at high noon dropping everything to do it like you're a Muslim praying to Mecca.
It also reinforces the false belief that we are indivisible. Like Lincoln was right, which he wasnt.

Maybe they’re afraid. Maybe they think if they try and do the right thing they will be spared from this nightmare. But op is correct, this gives me hope too.
