I've been pretty startled by recent trends in media
One Piece Netflix adaptation, all pirate ships are being built full scale from real wood
TOP GUN movie in theatres, not one CG plane, all real flights
Most of Disney's output over the next year is live action
So I started thinking
Are the rendering farms being used exclusively for deep fakes and psyops? Therefore entertainment has to do everything with as little CG as possible
Interesting theory. Worth watching to see how far it goes in terms of other movies and commercials, which also use a lot of rendering. Rendering is not as exclusive as it used to be, and today a single powerful desktop can render a very realistic commercial at a super-bowl level. I don't think it's feasible that rendering is no longer available, but keeping an eye on.
