While it was shocking to see, she and her bf witnessed a bald eagle slam a large owl to the ground and attack it they ran outside and the eagle took off, the owl was still alive so they put it in the old dog house incase it was just stunned but, it died over night so they buried it. There are wild rabbits all over the place, I have to stop the car many times just driving down the long dirt road as to not run over them, don't know why the Eagle went after the Owl and do not know why the large owl was out and about during the day but, the moment she told me my mind went straight to the symbology of it all. Eagle taking out the Owl.

By intervening the owl died anyway and the bald eagle went hungry.
Yeah but, there is an over abundance of small game for the wild life, in the area right now. Not just rabbits but, small marsh in the back acre with duck and all sorts of bird and rodent.
Never intervene in a natural kill. Ever.
To what extent?
I draw the line at getting involved with anything Clinton related, personally. ;o)
Ever, Fren. A bear and an elk, a cat and a mouse, and hawk and a prairie dog, a falcon and a pigeon. Natural kills. Leave it be. By interfering, We only disrupt the natural order and you aren’t saving anything. Once the attack is initiated, the damage is done.
One of the coolest things I ever saw (initially) was a hawk getting a prairie dog (which a, you'd think would be easy picking so you'd see this more and b, I don't really personally enjoy) - this was from bike path. The act of stopping to watch (and this was at some distance) spooked the damn thing and it took off (without the meal that is). Drat drat drat!!!
Damn….a realist….
