I started following @j (jake) months ago just because it was a one letter account, has a red check mark, and @q retruths him. I never thought to check all the one-letter accounts until this post.
1-letter accounts with red check marks:
@J (Jake)
@p (Phil)
@R (Ryan)
One thing I did notice is that some names are uppercase while others are lowercase. The system will correct the capitalization of the letter in the address bar automatically. I can't tell how this is achieved because the back-end system does not issue a redirect (302 or otherwise). I didn't think you could manipulate the address bar with javascript, but maybe you can.
