thanks for recommending, will check it out tonight :) Really enjoy watching these old movies. watched soylent green a couple weeks ago, which was also recommended here. also recently watched 1984 and I've seen a lot of the old twilight episodes which also have a lot of parallels to what is happening today. id greatly appreciate ay other suggestions for old movies people have. thanks guyssss!
"THX 1138" wasn't a bad movie about a dystopian society. It was George Lucas' directorial debut, from 1971. Some people like it, some don't.
"A Scanner Darkly" is pretty good, but novel was better, as usual. It's a 2006 movie starring Keanu Reeves, Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson. Warning, it's animated using rotoscoping, where the actors are drawn over after live acting the scene. That bothers some people, but I like it. Here's an example from the movie.
