This is SO true.

Literally how I ended up here from a closely related ::cough:: Donald ::cough:: place.

Just in my short time I've seen this place grow alot too. These folks deserve TONS of credit for keeping up with what I imagine have been crazy increases in traffic but never compromising their standards along the way.

This community still FEELS & FUNCTIONS like a small, tight-knit pne, even as its gained a TON of users in a short time. Mods have been nothing but cordial and fair to me and anyone I've ever talked to here.

Compare that to a place that:

• gets frustrated and angry with it's own users because of HIGH TRAFFIC
• Has mostly inactive/legacy people with mod powers, others who are mostly disinterested with being mods
• COMPLETELY DIFFERENT READINGS OF THE RULES FROM 2 DIFFERENT MODS,
• sometimes multiple mods with all different ways they police, enforce, communicate working on the board at the EXACT SAME TIME
• Mods who don't read or care and JUST INSTA-BAN any request they get
• Mods who play favorite and BAN you because they are personal friends with a user who didn't like you
• SO MANY OTHER FORMS OF B.S.

Not that I've ever um, had a bad time anywhere else 🙄 ... or had something COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS HAPPEN AND THEN IT TAKES DAYS TO UNDO And the person I have to talk to gives me an AWFUL ATTITUDE, NO EXPLANATION and AN ASS BACKWARDS WARNING TO BE CAREFUL....

Hey! Maybe be careful to take away mod powers from users who now just come on to troll your forum....

What is funny about all of it is that I BARELY used to post there, I mostly read. I was always afraid because I'd see how toxic it was all the time, see people getting banned, commenting "reported" back and forth at each other, etc. All the fucking drama. But after a while I guess I let my guard down some and just started replying here and there. Made a thread that got a bunch of updoots, got a little more into it.

Probably 3 or 4 weeks of that and then.... BAM. Now I'M involved in the drama. Completely OUT. Can't even go there just to READ. And it takes 3 DAYS just to hear a reply from someone, get the ban lifted, and of course they REALIZE that whoever did it went WAY OVERBOARD, and still they choose too wag their finger at me like I'm at fault. Fuck that, man...

Anyways.....

After coming here and hanging out for a while I've actually started to post more and I can confidently tell you it's because I DON'T LIVE IN FEAR of some B.S. happening.... MODS are FAIR and HONEST in how they do things here and so I got WAY MORE ENGAGED. Isn't it funny how they works?

This community is 100x BETTER than 'some others like it' and I have ALWAYS had a good experience here.

Many thanks and congratulations to the Mods here, you guys do your thing and do it well. I sincerely appreciate you all and I wouldn't be active like I am without you guys doing such a good job.
