We pray to God, our Father in Heaven, to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and have hope that good people will do the right thing. It’s all we can do. I share in the frustration. Apart of me wants to be violent. But we lose with those tactics. We have to place God ahead of these problems. Ask Jesus for strength to stand. How can we have a decent place to live, without God. It’s not the “only thing we can do”. It’s the right thing to do, and best thing we can do. Our best weapon against this evil is praying for God to intervene. I trust and have faith in this.
I respect it.. and thank you..
But inaction and hope are exactly how we ended up where we are...
Training Iraqis to shoot years ago I had one tell me that he could not hit the target because "God did not will it".. I had enough.. I explained that God had given him two good hands.. two good eyes and a brain for a reason... at some point God does expect you to use what he has given you and not just keep calling on him to fix what he has given you the tools to do yourself...
Just me...
Ill be clear.. Im not calling to start anything ...but we better be ready to do more than just vote to defend our rights... thats defend..
If God wills it then sure. Like Joshua from the Bible. But if, like that fella you mentioned..if everything in his heart is telling him no, then he’s not one to fight. Perhaps pray instead. I respect his beliefs. (I assume he was Christian?)
Before I would have killed anything that breathes. Today, God has taken that fight out of me. Did to much of it, and for the wrong reason for to long. But, if for some reason He tells me to pick up arms and began. Well...I guess I’ll cross that bridge when or if it happens.
He was not Christian .. no..
Again I understand it.. and respect it.. but disagree respectfully..
Im just saying be prepared... no civilization has ever reversed itself from the slide into tyranny peacefully.. we have all the signage that says things are headed that way..
We may indeed prove to be the exception (the true meaning of American Exceptionalism).. but the slow frog boil makes me more than apprehensive...
