Here in San Diego , in the ghetto areas , a one bedroom is 2500.00 a month , it's beyond comprehension ! My mortgage for my house is that much! How people are paying for them .. edit : many of the places are migrants / illegals , getting their rent paid by Gov !! Americans are living in Tents lining up on the streets and it is looking like SF quickly ! Disgusting !
I'm serious when I say 10 of thousands of illegals get free rent food etc , Americans struggle to feed their children out here !
A friend in my neighborhood just rented his tiny 2 bedroom one bath house , tiny ,, for 3 grand a month and there was a line of people he was able to chose from , it's crazy ! Another friend bought her Home five years ago for 1.5 they sold it in 24 hours two weeks ago for 3.6 ! They made 2.1 million in 5 yrs , They are leaving Cali , they bought a house in SC , they haven't seen it yet , 1.3 thry paid all cash and they are buying a boat .. all free from investing in a house here .. it's crazy ! My house tripled in price in the last few years ! It's mostly China buying Cali .. coming in with all cash paying what ever ! It's a drag ! This is a good time to bail !!
She , Republican Linda Blankenship , ran for state senate in Cali , she lost to a commie , but our elections have been robbed for years , she's been in the Republican political realm her whole life. Great person , they are retiring early , resettling and she'll throw her hat in the races back there .. not a democrat cuck . She's done fighting for Cali, although she still has a little place on the beach here ! You should be glad your home is going up in value !
I used to do close to that ($2000/month) along with my bf until we improved our finances and bought our house.
How can people afford that? They can't. Rent is the only thing they can afford - they can't afford to travel, meet like-minded people, buy guns, ammunition, or securities for their future (nevermind have a kid). They're so emotionally and physically drained from the grind that they can't educate themselves or spend time on their creative passions.
I remember those days. Travel 90 minutes to work in the morning, work late, take the bus 90 minutes back home, make a depressing meal, zone out on reddit for a few hours, sleep, repeat.
If I wanted a populace easy to manipulate and control, I'd keep them so close to the poverty line as possible.
Three years ago in Reno, NV, a 2b/2ba apartment averaged about $1400/mo. I thought that was wild at the time. Today, that same apartment costs about $1000 more. It's even rarer to get a place that is updated, with laundry units and pets allowed, under $3000/mo. Also, the homeless are showing up in droves and taking over common areas, making previously-safe walking paths a danger.
I'm at the point where I'm considering buying land and just putting a yurt on it. 🤷♀️
Off the grid and self-sufficient is the way to go. I watch a couple in a 2 story yurt near the 🇨🇦 border in Idaho and they stayed nice and warm in a yurt.
Poor witless democrat voters who vote for "the little guy" sure screwed the pooch this time. It's not your dad's democrat party anymore.... They can fix it by taking a hard look at all the evidence of voter fraud and getting on board. But that is a bridge too far I suppose.
The last time I paid rent, it was a little over $100 for a two bedroom house trailer. The lot was $60. Before that, I was renting a small house for $50 a month. I have been a homeowner since the 80s. I could buy a really nice house now for $2,000 a month.

30 thousand a year in rent. How do people afford that?

My folks live up there and make a very convincing argument!

Food, energy, housing. The destruction of those will force people to accept Communism. What is so confusing?
