so he looks for things that confirm his theory while ignoring other things that might disprove him.

Here is a little thought exercise:

present us with things he has ignored than disprove him rather than simply arguing everyone is in it for money.

these are talented people. there's much more lucrative things they could be doing than selling out their country for a few extra dollars.
