They don't want to be the one blamed for talking someone out of the surgery du jour. That would leave them unable to practice "medicine", and probably get sued. So they minimize the outcomes. It was probably "only 20 minutes a day. You only have to do dilation for 20 minutes a day. Isn't that worth it to be a woman?" and the idiot nods and says "yes. That's worth it. I can do that." I'm sure the "doctors" informed them of everything, they just didn't want to listen. And no one wants to risk themselves by talking anyone out of transitioning. So poor tullip, I'm sure, will die an early death after torturing himself for maybe another year or so.
