Its not a fantasy, its how DC works. Its pretty much just like the Prosecutor and the DA arguing over a case and what each one will get out of it, like in old 90's court dramas. . Normally I would agree that SCOTUS would not behave this way. These days, it just simply wouldnt shock me.
