Yeah .... well .... commercial opportunities. You either participate in them or you do not. How you spent your holiday time is up to you.

Paul in his letter to the Romans specifically addressed holidays .... Some celebrate a new moon or do not. Be happy with what you find important and live accordingly. And let others be.
