Well, unfortunately far too many pastors followed the CDC's orders and shut down during covid. They showed their true colors. Having said that, having law that says FU to the CDC will help with the pushbacks. Sometimes the flock needs to teach the shepherd.
The constitution and bill of rights already grant those protections. The kicker is enforcement. If he signs a new fancy fairydust sprinkled bill, what happens when the same response is given?
I hear what you are saying and I don't disagree with the feeling.
The commie left and RINOs have killed our nation with a death of a thousand cuts. While I want one giant boom to fix everything at once, I also feel that striking back in smaller ways that all add up is important too.
Personally, I can't think of another person in office right now that is doing more to strike back against medical tyranny, woke corporations, and federal abuse than Governor Desantis.
I will cheer anyone trying to make a real difference.
I agree. This guy is ready to hammer some real patriotic measures in place like banning lock downs and masks, all jab mandates no matter what issue, make religious services essential no matter what and going as far as removing all federal and state gun laws but he won't. Just theater.
I agree. The government took our nation's patience and understanding, and willingness to come together for each other, and absolutely destroyed all of it with their cabal covid narrative.
Things that have lost all credibility to me and that will never be restored:
Doctors care about their patients.
The government will look out for our nation's best interest.
Churches will place FAITH above FEAR and stand their ground when challenged.
Elections are basically fair and sometimes my preferred candidate just doesn't win. Better luck next election.
Most people will stand up for their constitutional rights and stand their ground when challenged. (this one is teetering like never before)
All of these things, and more, have been obliterated and will likely never return in my lifetime.
I blame the clergy. My church was closed so they put up a circus tent for mass. How is that different - 4 walls and a roof on both?
The worst of the worst was priests who would not administer the sacraments to the dying. The whole purpose of their vocation is preparing people to meet their Creator but no, that governor's law is more important than God's or the vows taken. I dont know of a single priest who even tried.
In PA religious needs were deemed nonessential but the Gov's cabinet business was essential.
I give Desantis credit for at least putting it down on paper.
Petty nonsense. How about passing a bill that says lockdowns and mask mandates are illegal?
Yeah
Signs a bill granting protections that we already have...what is the definition of political theater?

The government can't shut down churches unless it really really has to.
Am i reading that right?
Thanks for sharing those details u/ImBillCurtis 👈🏻
Those details are important.

Drip drip flood
Nobody is off the hook yet. Not by far
I thought Florida was the only state that did not pre-order "vaccines" for 6 month and up children?
Edit: see my reply to your comment above. Thank you Bill Curtis.

Does this mean all the Karens from the Church of COVID cultists are allowed to block the fire exits while they struggle to get all their PPE on?
How bout no emergency situations?

The entire "essential vs non essential" was terrible. People are not "non essential" and my job is essential to ME!
I blame the clergy. My church was closed so they put up a circus tent for mass. How is that different - 4 walls and a roof on both?

South Carolina did this months ago I think.
We don't need a bill for that. There is no next time. We will not comply.
But governor DeSantis, thanks.
