Cash only in US post office branches today?

Apparently, cash is king right now if you go to the post office. At our post office, they will only accept cash and are saying that all debit and credit card readers are down across the nation. Bizarre!

Card readers for different businesses have been going down more frequently - especially in food service. Not sure what's going on.

I worked @ a post office for a short time. It's probably their RSS system, retail system software.
