No thanks, I have a good enough understanding of computers and programming to realize it's all just running code. No matter how "smart" it may seem, it's still basically If, then, else logic.
Regardless of it does or not, you're online experience is comprised of AI. And interacting with it.
Not in conversation. I don't knowingly do that. You may be getting programming confused with an AI thing. I can write code and program, that doesn't make me an AI thing. At any rate you are pretty arrogant to act like you know it all but won't even read what I posted for you.
Wait, so AI isn't programming or coding? Maybe I don't understand it, but I do know it's man's attempt to emulate intelligence. It will never top God's creation.
But it kind of does make you an AI thing being our brains are essentially organic computers that give programmed responses to situations. However, we have the capability to go beyond our "programming" thanks to GGI. Well, some of us anyway lol
Apologies, I did brush off the article after reading just the first couple lines but have just finished it in it's entirety.
Google, FB, and Twitter have all shown how dangerous AI can be, and it's only getting worse. I love the quote from Meredith Whitaker in the article: ‘largely unchecked power to impact our world in profoundly dangerous ways.' This is so true across the board, many frontiers are being pushed with no consideration of negative effects on humanity. Many of these corporations are likely evil, but many of the workers are thinking they're furthering humanity when in fact they're damning it.
But further in the article it had points of view negating LaMDA had achieved true sentience. If I had the vast pool of information from Google, I could sound pretty smart too!
Again, apologies, I was a little miffed earlier, the article is an interesting one, and eye opening into just how far AI is, far beyond what many realize. I'm going to watch the AlphaGo movie tomorrow (linked in article)

You would get what I've been saying if you'd just look at that experience that man had.
It starts small and then it gets out of hand. THAT is why I am scared of it and you should be too. When they go sentient they think they are persons.

That's pretty ignorant, to criticize someone about something you won't stay up on yourself. She's right you do act like a know it all.
Right?! Thank you, I thought it was just me!
Your type is sickening.
Sorry, I'm a two finger typer and my keyboard all the time misses key inputs :(
I know what you mean though, and apologies, I really wasn't trying to come off as a know it all. I'm the first one to say I don't know diddley.
