There is no way it makes a difference. We don't care about the components of the price at the pump; we only care about the price. And the price is set to match demand with supply. If the tax were to drop, there would be a run on gasoline and a shortage. So, the price would have to go up anyway to the present level, in order to balance demand against supply.
The only thing that would make a difference is to increase the supply. Stopping exports to Europe would be a good start. Then the pump prices could go down and we would be tending to our own. Europe? Tough titties... They were stupid enough to go along with Biden. The first person to wave off the fog of stupidity gets to turn around and not walk over the cliff.
I was looking that up earlier, it looked to be about $0.18 per gallon with State taxes averaging $0.30ish per gallon.
So even if he does give us a Federal tax break on gas, the difference is negligible.
That should save me about $30/mo. Thanks Brandon, phew! Looks like we're all going to be alright. Give this man a round of applause, please folks?!
Ooo.... now we can buy groceries.
