I don’t remember them referring to Q as Q before. I thought they always just referred to it as Qanon? Am I wrong?

You are correct.

I think they realize that if Q continues to post, and they continue to talk about it, more people will want to check out what this "Qanon" thing is, and they will discover the lies of the fake propaganda media.
