So, whitelisting tripcodes isn't a thing then?
While I dont the architecture of that platform, whitelisting an address typically means the user with that address will be allowed to post without any filters.
The way tripcodes are calculated - based on the user password and the system "salt" ( think of this as a small password) and its algorithmic. So if the salt is changed then everyone's tripcodes will change.
Except I've seen posts describing a process whereby account tripcodes can be whitelisted so that a change of salt doesn't affect them. Is that not the case then?
