Then what is the point? If it doesn't do anything medically, if it's not for religious purposes.

I don't understand why anyone would subject their kids to this.

Mostly health reasons I assume. A friend of the family for instance had to have their 4 yr old circumcised because it basically...stating growing over the hole. Doctor said there was no choice. Some people I’ve known had issues with infections. So there is a health side of it, I suppose, that’s debatable.
