I seem to recall a King of the Hebrews that was a favorite of God. He took many, many wives even from unbelievers and worshippers of pagan gods. He even coveted the wife of one of his soldiers and sent him to the front lines of battle to die so that he could take the soldiers wife. You would have condemned him, even though God did not. See how that works? God is the judge, he decides who is punished and who is not. Speaking on behalf of God is not our place, we are to worship him and love him. The New Testament and the New Covenant made the old laws obsolete. God is the only judge and the only one to mete out punishment.
