This only tells part of the story though. Overall death rates in Australia @ end of March 2022 where up 17.5% on the national average. It could be more by now depending on the rate of deaths since then but I can't find later info yet. Also birth rates are down by the highest percentage since 1968 and other deaths like cancer and heart disease deaths are up respectively over the national average for the first 3 months. Either way, the population with higher deaths and lower births is going to shrink significantly over a relatively short space of time. Increase deaths in the elderly quicker and reduce the newborns. Just the working age population to manipulate.
