Whatever happens when the particles collide is so ephemeral and indistinct, that they really don't know what is going on...or if anything is going on. It is a case of allowing their beliefs to substitute for reality (displacing God with some other idol). It is a gigantic waste of money, and they are desperate for prestige and fame
Ya know, that’s kinda the conclusion I’d come to also. There’s really no way they’d know exactly the outcome or what they are causing. I wonder though, what the affect would be on people? It’s got to reek havoc on frequencies.
There's no way we would ever be aware of anything. In the scheme of things, the energies are really too small to notice, and the "events" are so short a big part of the experimental expense is being able to detect them.
