Yup, those things are burned into my memory. At the time, as I recall, NONE of us were buying the "just a drill" announcement. It's no little thing to land helicopters in urban city streets, the dangers of power lines, the "canyon effect" of unpredictable updrafts from nearby buildings, etc, such drills are always done on bases away from civilian populations and infrastructure.... so these were seasoned pilots and spec-ops guys doing something real and dangerous.
