People often forget that farmers are basically small businessmen/women, and all of their "wealth" is actually tied up in the farm itself...
"You are worth a million dollars. You could pay TEN people's salary on that. Why do you need so much?"
"That is the sum total of my assets - house, cars, business. And I pay the salary of TWENTY people who will lose their job if I liquidate everything to give it to TEN."
A conversation between an entitled HR person and an old boss of mine. Entitled HR person didn't last, for some reason.
HR had become some of the highest paid people in business. Note how said HR person thinks in the number of people hired. Zero clue.
