What time on July 5th is CERN? The European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) announced that starting today (July 5), the LHC will run 24 hours a day for almost four years at a record energy level near 13.6 trillion electronvolts, according to AFP.

They're talking about spending 23B to make one 100km in diameter vs the 27km one they have now. The whole thing is dumb...at least the official reason/story is dumb.
