What is this thread all about?
Just a place for general discussion. A place to unload whats on your mind and talk about anything - personal, health, help needed, achievements, daily highs and daily lows, theories, predictions and what have you.
Does not need to be Q related.
Yeah I have bitcoin. I typically use it for online purchases that allow bitcoin - like my hosting provider. Other than that, its just a fancy item I have.
Typically you buy bitcoin in one of the crypto exchanges. I use Swyftfx - but there are lots of exchanges. Search for the one in your country. Once you buy the bitcoin, install a crypto wallet (Exodus is a good one) on your phone/computer, and follow instructions to send the bitcoins to that wallet. If you are putting a lot of money, you might want to purchase a hardware wallet such as Ledger or Trezr.
If you are a geek, I suggest creating your own wallet, its pretty easy.
Please remember that any money you put into crypto should be considered "gone" the moment you put it in. Think of it like spending money on entertainment. Dont spend what you cant afford to lose.
Yeah, gold and silver probably safer than crypto as a way to hedge against federal reserve notes becoming worthless (coming financial meltdown).
If you are lucky you will have a mint nearby that sells bullions and coins. Buy the cast bars, no point paying premium for the mint bars. You can also try and pick up silver/gold coins from local gold shops if you trust them.
Buy only physical gold and silver and store them in a place thats under your control. Bank vaults - nope.
Whatever you buy, have the mindset that its for long term investment and so you have to be prepared to hold it for years.
