Oh yes. I've been relegated to using an old 1GB RAM laptop at one of my schools. Built for Win7, upgraded to Win10 and it is an incredibly slow turd. The other day it took me 20+ minutes to download a simple Word file, open it, and print it. I imagine wiping it clean and installing a Linux XFCE-based OS should make it fairly usable and be a vast improvement!
Linux is such a liberating experience. Not every printer works, nor can you play every game you want to. It's still such a nice experience though.
But everything you CAN do in Linux, works better than it ever did in Windows. 😉
