"You know planes have to keep tilting their nose down or they would fly into space."
That's a good one...as a private pilot, I have to remember that line when I take some hapless friend for a ride...I love telling them I'm actually a Flat Earther, and immediately their faith in my flying abiltiies go out the window. Good times!
Flat earthers are space-gnostic. They have higher knowledge than lowly sphere dwellers. Who ever thought we'd live on a planet where people actually argue and get angry about the shape of said planet? This is what happens when a society has more than it needs and enjoys easy living. And, no, I haven't studied flat earth because it's ridiculous and, in the grand scheme, it doesn't matter at all. Jesus is coming back one day and, when He does, it's all going to be destroyed.
The problem is most oblate spheroid earthers are indoctrinated with the information and aren't taught the logical holes in some of the arguments made.
So when critical analysis is done later in life (which is what critical thinkers engage in) they have to account for the fact that the evidence presented doesn't actually prove in the oblate spheroid Earth because their teachers were too lazy to provide the full picture.
Must have been done by now, can you point to a documented journey proving this? Flat earthers would say of course you can sail in a big circle around the known land masses and return to your starting point. Can you fly that?
Thank you for sharing that. Do you have know of a link to his exact flight path? This apparently made multiple stops and took months? Anyway, it could be a case of simply traveling in a circle on a flat earth. I'd have to do much digging.
They're still fucking dumb and wrong. Anyone can travel the entire globe with enough money and make a full circuit of it proving themselves wrong.
You mean travel in a giant circle?
You know planes have to keep tilting their nose down or they would fly into space.
You ever pour water on a basketball? What happened to all the water?
Round earth debunked!!

Those are real arguments I've heard them make.
I'd love to see the look on their faces!
You have no idea how little you know. Learn something then come talk. Otherwise you just look fucking stupid.
There's multiple experiments of vehement flat earthers proving themselves wrong and earth is a spherepilling themself. You're being ignorant lol.

This leads to distrust.

This a more recent one. The first circumnavigation of the globe was in 1924 though.

I really don't have the time or the patience to argue with flat earthers, I don't care enough to correct them.
