This is profound, but then... I actually spend money all of the time without ever knowing my balance. Not saying that's an intelligent practice, but that's what I normally do... without issue. =D

Mods - make GAW great again - ban X / social media posts as SOLE news sources!

Force posters to actually sauce with credible sources and link those sources.

Otherwise it's this sort of thing over and over and over again!

Every article I see references the purpose for this: "will target members of the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua whose members are believed to have killed Laken Riley and Jocelyn Nungaray in cold blood"

I wish we seriously could ban X posts as credible news sources. I'm not saying we can't use this EO to accelerate mass deportations, but this post doesn't mention the critically important context. Looks like a Benny Johnson post, LOL.

I've been whining about this for years myself. And how many overstay their visa's, take advantage of a citizen, get married, get papers, dump them, get support from the citizen AND the government? When they file for their papers they "promise" they didn't overstay their visa with the plan to marry a citizen for papers. LOL... this is a joke. Oh yes, and their criminal activities are FORGIVEN, such as working without authorization, ID theft / using a fake SSN. Their tax returns show they got a W2 with a SSN that is not theirs, yet they filed their returns with a TIN because they don't have a social. It's all completely forgiven. LOL, nonsense!

Things can take some time. You're talking about the biggest positive unwinding in the history of our nation (that I can think of!). This is a massive thing to get through. This is going to take a YUUUUGE coordinated white-hat strike to make happen. It has to be done in pieces, I'm quite certain. It is 5D chess! There's no way around that! The system has to be unraveled, things have to be put in place. Trump can't just press a button and abolish the IRS, as much as we all would LOVE that.

It should be ZERO. But.. as I mentioned in my post, it needs to be fair. So in your case fair would be zero tax on the first 150k of earnings. This is a start.

PLEASE make this a separate post, you may have posted this before elsewhere, but please make this a separate post so it can garner the attention it deserves.

Are these your ideas, or did you get them from somewhere? Or both?

HOW do you get a bloated government to voluntarily shrink itself down to the intended size and function? It's like a Microsoft or a Google or an Apple saying "We're going to scale down and eliminate ourselves by 97%". Entities have a thing about getting BIGGER. How do you get these things passed? How do you get these people to cut themselves off?

For years I've wanted to see posts like this containing a plan, solutions to EVERYTHING. Something that can be collaborated on, refined by many smart minds, and then presented to our representatives by masses of people. It would take the masses.

What are your thoughts on the idea of outright eliminating political fundraising, full stop? You can't have villains the likes of Soros throwing money and funding his minions across the country. You can't have corporations or any entities throwing money at a candidate on any level. In my mind, you can't have ANY money in elections at all. ZERO signage, or equal signage. ZERO TV campaigns, perhaps. In any case, and EQUAL platform for all candidates. Town halls, debates, that sort of thing. Perhaps a website managed by the federal gov or local jurisdiction where they are provided equal exposure and opportunity. ZERO popularity contests, elections should not be determined by who can raise the most money, for the biggest donors tend to be corrupt entities that are vying for power and control. You get my point. In my mind, until this is fixed America will always be in grave danger.

As long as someone making over 150K is exempt from the first 150K of taxable income, this is a step in the right direction... a step. You have to keep that fair.. you don't want someone who makes 151K to get penalized. Or even 160K. People should be able to make much, much more... if they have to pay some taxes on the amount over 150K, ok.. whatevers... better than it is.

Neuralink won't amount to anything, just like the majority of Musk ventures it is all hype. Don't worry about Neuralink. There are many companies that have much more advanced tech than Neuralink. So far a dude can control a mouse cursor with his thoughts. This is not new. Heck, there have existed devices you can wear on your head that make this possible, no brain implant required!

At least some sense on here.
He's an absolute charlatan, in reality. Common Sense Skeptic on YouTube has dozens of deep-researched videos exposing Musk and his companies. Everything is lies built upon more lies. There are many more folks exposing the truth, including Thunderf00t (lefty though) and many more. House of cards. Some think his alliance with Trump is a move to shield himself from when the house of cards comes crumbling down and all the lies are exposed. Like you said, there's NO WAY. He is 100% an asset, not a genius as he is made out to be. He's actually rather not that intelligent, as much exposure has shown.
And, he isn't auditing ANYTHING. He's got people doing all the work, and he's taking credit for as much as possible, like always. That said, I'm rooting for DOGE... however... I don't care, this corruption needs to be exposed and people need to hang for it.

"SBA does not provide grants for starting and expanding a business. SBA provides grants to nonprofits, Resource Partners, and educational organizations."

Stop the SBA grants, period, they are mostly abused I'm certain. Keep the SBA loan guarantee program, that enables people to obtain bank financing to start or expand a business.

I'm purchasing a business right now. If not for the SBA guaranteed loan program I would not be able to qualify. The SBA is guaranteeing 75% of the loan amount to the bank issuing my loan, in case I default. This allows the bank to loosen the guidelines they would normally impose, and makes it possible for me to actually qualify. Without the SBA guarantee to the bank, I wouldn't be able to do this.

It's a similar situation with housing. If FHA didn't offer mortgage insurance and there weren't private mortgage insurers for conventional home loans, very few people would ever have the 20% downpayment they would need to otherwise qualify for the house.

In my case, I'm able to buy this business with 2.5% of the total loan amount out of my pocket... which is amazing.

Sorry to hear that you've had that experience. I'm currently in the process myself (business acquisition) and things are looking great so far.

Check this out. You can see there were over 70,000 SBA loans funded in 2024 nationwide, and already just under 36,000 funded year-to-date 2025. https://careports.sba.gov/views/7a504LenderReport/LenderReport?%3Aembed=y&%3AisGuestRedirectFromVizportal=y

I promise you, these are not all minority borrowers starting a restaurant.

It is important to note that the SBA does not LEND, they guarantee loans. (they provide a 75%-85% guarantee to the lender in case of default, depending on the loan amount / program) Much like the FHA does not lend money to homebuyers, they guarantee a large portion of the loan amount to the lenders in case the buyer defaults. When applying for an SBA loan it is a good idea to work with a SBA preferred lender. These companies are able to fund SBA loans completely in house without having to get SBA approval FIRST. They can close in as little as 30-45 days. It is also VERY IMPORTANT to note that each lender has their own guidelines and criteria on top of the SBA guidelines.

Regarding your comment about expansion loans, there are companies that ONLY do SBA loans for expansion, such as Newity / Northeast Bank. There are companies that will not touch restaurant startups, to your point - high failure rate. I'm purchasing an existing successful business in the quick-serve restaurant industry. Some lenders won't touch, even with good numbers.

One lender might send you packing, another might say "no problem!" For example, US Bank told me because I don't have two years of direct experience in the industry they won't even consider it, whereas other lenders said they can work with that.
Another part of my scenario, haven't really had income in the last couple of years, took time off from my career to explore other options. A couple of lenders said they can't work with that. Other lenders said, "No problem! You're purchasing a business with cashflow to support paying you going forward, we can work with this." The fact that they can do it both baffles me and makes sense at the same time!
Another point - some wanted a 10% cash injection from me. Others 5%. So far, I have one that is only asking for 2.5%.

Point is, use only SBA preferred lenders, talk to MANY as they all have different underwriting criteria. Apply with many, if you need to. Some are VERY strict and difficult, others are way, way more relaxed. I'm loving my bank contact right now, where I've chosen to send my loan. I can put you in touch with him if you like. He's working with me to structure my deal in a way that he knows will get approved. His underwriters will also work with us to try to make it happen, even if they won't approve it on first inspection. "If we do this, and this, and structure it this way, we can approve it". I don't have the loan yet, but he's very experienced and is certain I will get approved.

I'm aware of what they teach. That said, I've seen many other experts teaching many things with the appearance of great authority... and seen many end up in prison. I'm really happy it is going well for you. I think Pete may be one of the few who have the truth, who do it right.

There are many crackpots teaching false things quite convincingly, like David Lester Straight.

kaizen777 2 points ago +2 / -0

Indeed, I'm aware he did to some time. I don't think it was very significant. Months, if I recall? I don't really recall. That said, it wasn't YEARS. He did get out. Many people get 10+ years for doing this wrong, that I've seen. He's one of the few who appear to be in the know, however it has not been always smooth and easy for him. He has gone through quite a bit.

Did I saw THIS THREAD wasn't sauced? You did sauce it. I'm not being silly at ALL friend.
If I dig through I can find several destructive and ridiculous posts that were stickied that were completely false, with no sauce. Sheesh indeed, we should not have that! I was simply taking the opportunity to point that out to the lead mod. I'm not talking about memes, that's a different thing entirely. This is information war. The information must actually be correct to be supported.

Not related to this post but related to moderation - for years I have been seeing news posts on here gain traction or STICKIED that have no sauce. Hundreds (or more) people buy into it, believe it to be true... but there is no link or it is a link to some untrustworthy X account or website. Just saying, if you could require news posts to have legitimate sources that would really really up the quality of this forum. Too many people are left believing things that are fiction, and it brings down the entire community.
