Cat food, dog food, treats even, and when it was cold or snowing big cardboard homes filled with blankets for the dogs and purpose built cat havens. The street dogs and cats belonged to everyone and I guess we had our favorites.

I'm surprised that's how Istanbul is, given the Qur'an's opinion on dogs.
