Trump endorsed Abbott before Allen West announced his run. Abbott had started beating his chest about the border (of course he knew the rumors of West challenging him). Before that, he had done very little, other than do live press events, and set aside more Texas taxpayer funds to manage the ILLEGAL ALIENS.
