Reading through the article it looks like the neighborhood kids harassed the animal and would chase it the rooster went after someone who admits he didn't like the animal.

I bet everyone here would feel differently if it were a dog instead of a bird. Just sayin.

You kinda hafta be there to know the truth. If I'm innocently minding my own business and a rooster attacks me, I wouldn't think twice about killing it. If I'm trespassing in order to kill an annoying pet, I should have to face justice. A local jury is the only way to go, and I'll defer to them unless I know the people.
