Why weren’t the blades rotating for emergency lift?

Edit. In the last vid posted above. The helicopter blades were still as they loaded (I presume Abe) into the bird. Isn’t this an emergency? Time is of the essence and all that… to get to a hospital? How long does it take to wind up a bird?
