It wasn't until December 2021 that it was announced that there will neither be forced mandates nor discrimination. That was under PM Suga, the one who kinda looks like Yoda from Empire Strikes Back. Unless somehow the decision to reject mandates was made before the deathjabs rolled out, the dates do not line up. He was not PM when Ivermectin was promoted, and that was at the insistence of a handful of Tokyo doctors. It doesn't matter a whole lot anyway though, since too many people have taken the death jab here in Japan and it's sad. Maybe real estate will become cheaper in the future, at least.
