It seems this was a pattern he spotted then and it's gotten much much worse over time. The part that I thought was interesting was teaching kids to be intellects but to let their emotions run wild.

Yeah, he didn't quite get that right. Common Core is proof they don't care if kids actually know how to SOLVE PROBLEMS.

I've used basic algebra many times in my adult working life. All because I learned how to solve the problems.
