There have been several posts about increase death rates in the world, in our "post vax" world, with the assumption that it is covid shots causing it. But do we really know if there are increased death rates? I tried to use the online obituary data from my local paper to do an analysis, but wouldn't you know, they cut off any obituary pages older than December 2019. I encourage anyone out there in anon world to see if you can get reliable obituary data that includes several years before covid hit, to compare with the main covid years (2020 and 2021), and the post-covid-shot time of 2022. Obituaries per calendar month plotted as a line graph should reveal what is going on. When I used the Dec 2019 to present data, I found no significant change; pretty much a straight line, but no way to know how this compares to pre Dec 2019.

by law an obituary must be publicly published.
life insurers, inc Lincoln National are reporting a 40% increase in death rates across the board. Not Covid.
40%. (The CEO of OneAmerica, the old State Life [huge], said that a 10% increase would be a once-every-200-years event!)
They are the MASTERS of mortality stats, as their product is insuring the risk of death. AND they put their $$ where their mouth is, paying cash-money death claims.
this is informative and also links directly to a SOA study:

Thanks for that link, but they only studied 2020, and it appears to support that covid was the main cause of excess deaths, with substance abuse and other causes also contributing to an increase. What I think would be most beneficial now is to look at 2022 data. Since the covid strains now out are so minor in effect, an increased death rate would seem to be more likely due to the covid shots.
definitely. but, i thought it gave a nice baseline and perhaps some leads to follow. finding where the actuaries are getting their stuff is probly where you want to go.
I don't think obits will give a good picture. We only have them in our paper for people who paid, and they seldom give a cause of death anyway. "After a long illness."
Yes, if only they are only paid one, it would blur what is going on, but if there is a big change in the trend (upwards) in 2022 compared to pre-2020, that would seem to indicate covid shots could be a major factor, since covid now is probably less deadly than seasonal flu.
