They've been trying for years. Here's an archived article from CNN trying to promote cockroach milk to people.
They think that you are REALLY stupid. Or are you? Well, you're the only one who can truly answer that question, dear reader.

Hate cockroaches...Base Housing in NJ had the fuckers every where.
Yup. You need to spray insecticide for 20-30 days straight because the eggs are immune until they hatch and they have like a 20 day hatch cycle.
We have these little plastic boxes with holes and roach poison inside that we stick to walls and near doors to catch the little ones that crawl in. They're good for 2 months each.
Edit:
Also forgot that I also just mix borax and sugar to kill them. Haven't had to deal with an infestation in a very long time.
Do you add the sugar and borax to a water bottle and spray βem with it, or do you leave it out on a plate and let them eat it? We have a problem with them now.
I would like to have them GONE! I donβt think there are enough of them, though, to go into the business of selling them, thankfully.
I leave it out in bottle caps in the house and sometimes I made little blocks of them with flour. You can check Youtube since it works for ants as well. I use powdered sugar just to make sure it's mixed well.
I don't know if this is what did it for me but here goes; I had a bad roach problem in my bedroom about a year ago. The bedroom has a bathroom within. Every day there were at least 2 roaches that I would have to kill. One time there was 8! Now this is a tiny bathroom so the plumbers who installed the toilet had to knock out part of the wall to make it fit. I noticed that behind the tank was a narrow opening in the wall so I caulked the hell out of it. That seemed to work but there were still some smaller roaches coming in. Fast forward a couple months and the toilet backed up so I go out on to the roof to snake the vent pipes. On a whim, I thought why not close these off somehow? So I got some aluminum screen and zip tied a layer of screen over every vent pipe I saw. Now I see a dead roach once a month. Keep in mind that I've sprayed raid pretty consistently throughout my ordeal so I don't know if that's the reason or the screen or a little of both. Hope this helps!
