So begin my holiday which I will mostly spend in my Burgundy home. I pray nothing explose at work but it’s already nice to have no alarm configured in the morning.

Daily plans:

Then I will be back here posting my « HOLD THE LINE. DAY 621 » trivia.

Amazing how some scriptures matches the current events.

I must:

• cut some invading grass,
• check my neighbour’s sheeps water,
• play piano,
• work on a musical piece,
• check the 3D printer as it made spaghetti monsters last time I used it,
• watch a movie (« Departed » comes to mind after the excellent fun I had yesterday with « Boogie Nights »: Mark Wahlberg really is good),
• water the garden,
• pray (it begins at 20:00 here but the reminder is set to 19:59 so I don’t « panic ». I invite you to join because you will love it.

Then, after photographying the sunset and getting my shot sent to me on a postcard (daily freebie of the Swiss Post for Swiss residents), I will indulge in some white wine whilst listening to music on my still warm stone stairs. Yesterday it was Rachmaninoff, then Motörhead… I have quite eclectic tastes in music.

Cooking corner:

For my only meal of the day, I took a frozen duck breast out. I will slash it in dices without cutting the skin which I need to get the meat to remain together. I will shred garlic and sage, mix it with salt and pepper in rosé wine and pour the mixture on the meat so it gets flavored in depth. Then I will cook it. Either on my mini barbecue (My wife won’t but here until Monday) or pane it with a little salty butter.

This comes with a nice homemade gaspacho (hint, zucchini instead of cucumber given it an interesting texture).

That’s it, my first day of holiday in a nutshell. No shopping, no party, no physical interaction except with a few animals. A possible Facetime with my wife and prayer with some of you.
