We must recognize the strengths of our enemies in order to defeat them. The left has no choice but to speak deceptively and they have mastered the art over the years. We always speak our minds straight forward and forthright. With the truth on our sides, we feel no need to play word games. They HAVE to play word games because their ideas never work in the real world.
Some examples: Illegal alien is now undocumented immigrant... Rapist is now sex offender... self defense is now murder... baby murder is now reproductive healthcare... .....
another one they are trying to make happen is white nationalism = white supremacy... essentially implying that if you are white and love your nation the Good Ol' USA then you are automatically lumped right in with the KKK.
These are the games our enemies play. lets call them on it every time. keep the record straight.
This is a battle I've been fighting for decades, in one shape or form.
My formal training is in linguistics and literature, which together builds a powerful sense of how language impacts on many of the political, social, mental, conceptual and even spiritual dimensions of human interaction.
On top of this, I have training in NLP and hypnosis, two fields closely connected to the psyops and gaslighting that the Dead Legacy media partake in.
Culture and language are two sides of the one, same coin. This is true for a nation, a people, an ethnic group, a community, for a family and for an individual. What language you use, how you use it, etc, directly impacts on and affects the culture you create, and the culture you create reinforces the linguistic structures and dimensions of interaction.
A curious fact about language is that even though everyone speaks and uses at least one language, few people really understand what language is and how it works.
We can see this dimension at work in the Great Awakening, for example. How many Q-isms have now grown into the mainstream?
Nothing can stop what is coming
(the now widely recognized) wwg1wga
(only at) "the precipice"
the great awakening
etc.
"normies" has also become more widely used, even by people who are not anons per se.
The language elements has been part and parcel of building the digital army.
In terms of keeping the record straight, this is exactly why I refuse to ever refer to my wife as "my partner", and also emphatically refer to others' 'partners' as either their husband, wife, spouse, or de facto spouse etc.
"partner" is an abomination. A partner is someone who you can hook up with for a few hours to play a round of bridge, or a tennis match, or even to dance. It can also be someone you work with to build a business. However, the word itself carries NO implication of commitment, NO reference to the different roles and qualities that a husband or wife bring to the marriage by virtue of their different sexes. etc. It's a horrible expression, and I am always disappointed when I hear even otherwise sensible or awake people simply adopt and use this expression, because they have NO awareness of how language is being used to undermine the culture of freedom, free thought, and faithfulness in God.
There are many, many examples of this. "Injection" is another one I consistently use, and I will only refer to the mRNA shots as 'vaccines' if it is clear that I don't consider them so or I need to uses that word for purposes of helping the other person understand what I am referring to.
These are two small examples, but if you take care to manage how you use words, to identify when words and expressions, etc., are strengthening your (freedom) culture or undermining it, then it can become natural and automatic practice to eschew the words/expressions that are poisonous to your values.
Another example is using "free market economies" instead of "capitalism". "Capitalism" is a term coined and defined by Marx and very sadly adopted by much of the West to describe their own system, when in fact, using the expression simply validates one more time that Marx was somehow right or accurate in coining the term. The aggregation and centralization of capital.
E.g. Small businesses are NOT capitalism. They are free market economies, trading with those who choose under conditions they choose, for mutual benefit.
When you carelessly or unconsciously employ the enemy's vocabulary and language, you are, in some measure, however small, affirming the validity of their worldview and are opting to play on a game board defined by THEM, instead of by YOU.
The good news is, the voices of Freedom and Truth are to some measure aware of this. One of the greatest examples is how we've done judo flips and adopted their denigrating language as a means to amplify our strength, and emphasize our ability to NOT be defined by them: "Deplorables" is one such example. "Ultra" is another more recent one.
These are examples that show that in fact, the tide has turned in the language war. In that regards, I disagree with the OP. This is not a battle we are losing. It's a battle that we simply lost so much ground in it looks like we're still losing. But in fact, we're not. Yes, we are way behind the enemy lines, as it were, but the tide has actually turned.
(It should be noted that the "turn of the tide" is the time when the shift of waters is least visible. The waters move slowest at turn of the tide, and then flow increases in speed as the tide reaches its midway strength. Thus, when you see the big shifts, that's NOT when the tide is turning. They are evidence that the tide turned quite a while ago.)
The tide in the war turned in 2015/16. Everything since then has simply been a quickening of the tide. The turning of this particular tide has been centuries, of not millenia in the making, so it's not going to switch back again for a LONG, LONG time. However, how effective it is, how quickly it moves, hinges to some extent on how much effort and investment we (the freedom loving peoples) commit to the cause.
In Far Eastern thought, specifically Confucianist thought, unity between Word and Deed is seen as an important, key virtue. From this viewpoint, being aware and careful of HOW you speak and use language is just as important as being aware and taking care in how you act.
Hear, hear! Wish all would take your words to heart. My personal cringe word is "gender." It's lack of precision has been leveraged by the left to gain acceptance for the whole trans debacle.
George Orwell's Politics and the English Language warned of this kind of sloth.
Another good example.
