I disagree; being able to intervene would not have awakened any more people. They needed to have the absolute failure of their ignorant ideas and the global corruption and pervasive evil surrounding us to be explicitly shown. Everyone also needed to be taught again that complacence is surrender, they needed to learn to start getting involved again, CIVIC DUTY, vigilance, etc.

None of that would have happened if intervention had occurred too soon. It may still not happen unless we start being the example and prodding the indolent into action.
