This seems more plausible. Otherwise, there is some island somewhere with Ivana, Elvis, JFK Jr....I think she is dead. Never thought of the idea she was murdered until now.
Someone made an epic post about 6-12 months ago comparing the show LOST to stuff that has happened. Wish our archival search ability was more sophisticated on this platform so I could pull it up again.
There was a book written maybe 15-20 years ago that was a story where people found themselves on an island that had all the dead celebrities, but I cannot remember the name of it. I want to say Douglas Coupland wrote it, but I looked at his list of work and I don't see anything. But it was along that type of novel.

Perhaps Gilligan's Island was predictive programming. Think of the assorted people that were stranded on that island:
Bob Denver as Gilligan, the hapless first mate of the S.S. Minnow
Alan Hale Jr. as Captain Jonas Grumby ("The Skipper"), the captain of the S.S. Minnow
Jim Backus as Thurston Howell III, a Wall Street millionaire
Natalie Schafer as Eunice "Lovey" Howell, Thurston's wife
Tina Louise as Ginger Grant, a Hollywood movie star
Russell Johnson as Professor Roy Hinkley, Ph.D. ("The Professor")
Dawn Wells as Mary Ann Summers, a wholesome farm girl from Winfield, Kansas, who won the trip and tour in a lottery
Charles Maxwell (uncredited) as the voice of the recurring radio announcer

Maybe that "island" is another continent beyond Antarctica, or some underground oasis.
Certainly in these god awful times it is among the possibilities.
