Correct. This is why each version must be violently thrown against the wall of scrutiny. This is why I only follow Jesus's teachings over the rest of it because His actions speak for themselves. You can see the fruits of loving your enemies and treating others the way you want to be treated firsthand.

There are versions if the Bible that probably speak more to individual freedom and the necessity of people CHOOSING to follow Jesus for themselves.

Or I am wrong. Good thing we have Forgiveness either way...
