I was over there when I was young during a "heat wave." They were acting like they could barely survive when the temperature got to 85º. I was born and raised in Florida, and I found that endlessly amusing. Granted, they don't have much air conditioning because they usually don't need it, but neither did I in Florida where the average summer temperature is more like 95º. And, yes, I'm rather smug about it.
A cast iron bridge, built in 1887, that cannot survive temperatures above 64 F without having to close. Hmmmm. It has a cooling system to keep the temperature low. Cracks, which are still there all the time, but widen with temperature are present. No thanks, I'll walk around.

I'm sure the bridge-wide cooling system is a carbon neutral one.
