My grandfather encouraged me to read it, as he gave me his copy. I still have it in plain sight first as a reminder of a great gentleman and grandfather. And 2nd as a reminder that freedom is not free.

Jusqua Porter la besace, was a slogan in the year 1581 AD to express the resolve to defend freedom against tyranny .

It is quite appropriate these days.
