Also on a prep note. Ill have time tomorrow to get a little deeper into what you could look for in the imediate future. So, what did you do in the forces?
I was an aviation systems technician on a maritime patrol fleet. I have no civilian accreditation, I can’t get a job in the industry regardless as transport Canada is following the vaccine mandate.
This is going to sound stupid to you, it does to me. but I’ve lived and worked in the same base, in the same city for my entire adult life. I need to get out and get back to what I come from. I grew up in a tiny town. I just feel the prairies calling me and I can’t think of anything I’d rather do than work on a farm, doing honest work. I don’t like hearing myself talk like this because I know how it sounds but at the end of the day, I need to get out of here
Aviation systems tech sounds like a high demand skill. Find a small town with a private airport and make friends. Hell, head north to the Yukon and work on bush planes for cash under the table, the ultimate adventure. Those damn mandates only enslave the big cities and big corporations, here in the US at least plenty of self employed and smaller companies saying piss off to that crap. The further you get away from city centers the less these "mandates" are enforced. If Canada is anything like the US, off-grid networks of businesses are being created out of necessity that cut out the middleman.. aka the government and health authorities.
Also, with a truck, see if you can get into basic truck stuff. Jink hauling, trash hauling, shotgun deliveries etc. Lots of self reliant money can be made with a truck.
No that does not sound crazy at all. Had a friend who was similar role in US Armed Forces and he did the very same thing. You have a huge leg up just knowing what you want to do. If that is where the Lord is guiding you. Dont deny it. Embrace it and set your mind and heart free.
Finding local work should not be too hard and you should have a good amount of mechanical kowledge. I would look into market farming and see if any of it sounds like something you are interested in.

Did you like doing that type of work? May be worth getting something to tide you over and work out what you'd prefer to do long term.
